Sibutramine 15mg BLUE
The active substance is Sibutramine hydrochloride monohydrate. Each capsule contains 20mg of the substance.
Sibutramine is in conjunction with a reduced calorie diet and exercise recommended for patients with obesity. It helps reduce body weight by making youfeel fuller longer after eating smaller amounts of food.
Sibutramine is a serotonin and a norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor. It works by affecting neurotransmitter reuptake of 5-hydroxytryptamine (called serotonin) and noradrenaline into the nerve cells in the brain. Neurotransmitters are chemicals that allow nerve cells to communicate with each other. Blocking their reuptake sibutramine increases the amount of these neurotransmitters in the brain. Increased levels of neurotransmitters in the brain help patients feel after eating fuller and helps reduce their food intake.
Sibutramine, along with diet and exercise is used for patients with overweight with body mass index (BMI) greater or equal to 27 kg / m2, which are associated also with risk factors such as diabetes type II or dyslipidaemia (abnormal level of fat in the blood).
It does not have addictive psychostimulant effects.
